DCM Shriram Limited has successfully commissioned its second 300 TPD caustic soda flakes plant at its flagship chemicals complex located in Jhagadia, Bharuch district, Gujarat. The announcement was made on March 31, 2025, with commissioning completed at 10:00 AM IST.
With this development, the total caustic soda flakes capacity at the Bharuch facility has increased to 900 TPD, making it one of the largest single-location caustic soda flakes production units in India.
The newly commissioned unit is an identical twin of the plant launched in October 2024. Both units are flexi-fuel enabled, allowing for multiple fuel sources, improving sustainability and operational efficiency.
