Cyient DLM, an Indian company specializing in design-led manufacturing, has entered into an expanded partnership with Deutsche Aircraft, a German manufacturer of regional aircraft. The collaboration focuses on the design, development, and production of the Cabin Management System (CMS) for the D328eco, a 40-seat regional turboprop aircraft currently in development.
Under this agreement, Cyient DLM will handle the creation of the CMS, which will feature a touchscreen interface. This system is designed to allow crew and passengers to control cabin functions such as lighting, passenger signs, and lavatory operations. The CMS aims to provide adjustable lighting options to support in-flight activities or rest, based on user preferences.
The project will be fully executed in India, aligning with the “Make in India” initiative, and marks one of Deutsche Aircraft’s first electronics programs to be designed and manufactured entirely in the country. The CMS will incorporate multiple sensors and utilities, built with a scalable and modular architecture that uses modern display and control electronics technology.
This collaboration highlights the capabilities of the Indian aerospace sector in developing and certifying advanced aviation components. Cyient DLM, supported by its parent company Cyient, brings its aerospace experience to the project, aiming to deliver a functional CMS tailored to the D328eco aircraft.
The partnership reflects ongoing efforts to integrate Indian expertise into global aviation supply chains, with Cyient DLM contributing to the technical development of regional aircraft systems. Further details on the project timeline and certification process were not specified in the announcement.
