CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd (CG), a leader in the Electrical Engineering Industry, has signed a long-term supply agreement with Kinet Railway Solutions Limited. This agreement includes the supply and servicing of railway products such as propulsion kits, motors, and transformers.
As part of the deal, CG has secured its first purchase order worth ₹400-450 crore for supplying railway components for 10 Vande Bharat trainsets. Additionally, the agreement includes a 35-year service contract, reinforcing CG’s commitment to India’s railway modernization.
With over 86 years of expertise, CG has built a strong presence in the railway sector. The company specializes in Traction Machines & Systems, Rail Transportation Propulsion Electronics, and Railway Signaling Products. Recently, CG also ventured into the Train Collision Avoidance System (TCAS), known as KAVACH, enhancing railway safety.
Headquartered in Mumbai, CG Power is a leading engineering conglomerate catering to Industrial and Power sectors. It manufactures Traction Motors, Propulsion Systems, and Signaling Relays for Indian Railways. The company also produces Induction Motors, Drives, Transformers, and Switchgear for industrial applications. Expanding its portfolio, CG has recently entered the consumer appliances segment, offering fans, pumps, and water heaters.
