The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has initiated a detailed investigation through the Director General of the Bureau of Indian Standards (DG, BIS) to examine alleged deficiencies in the products and services offered by Ola Electric. This investigation follows complaints regarding the quality and reliability of Ola’s offerings.
CCPA cross-examined Ola Electric’s response to a previously issued show-cause notice. Despite Ola Electric’s claim of addressing 99.1% of consumer complaints, the CCPA, after reaching out to complainants who filed grievances with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH), found Ola’s claims to be misleading. This move underscores the CCPA’s commitment to ensuring consumer protection and holding companies accountable for their product and service standards.
