Britannia and Bel Group have inaugurated a new cheese factory in Ranjangaon, Maharashtra, India, to produce Britannia The Laughing Cow products. The 220 crore Rs investment facility will generate over 10,000 tons of cheese yearly, sourcing milk from over 3,000 local farmers.

This expansion demonstrates a commitment to local manufacturing, community development and market growth in the Indian cheese industry.

The new Greenfield factory is located in one of Maharashtra’s major food parks and has been established with an investment of over Rs 220 crores from the Joint Venture, which utilized the Britannia Dairy facilities. It is integrated with Britannia’s cutting-edge dairy manufacturing plant, which produces a wide range of Britannia dairy products, including Britannia The Laughing Cow Cheese in slices, blocks, spread, diced and cubes.
