Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited (BHVL), the second-largest owner of chain-affiliated hotels and rooms in South India among major private hotel asset owners as of March 31, 2025, has announced a landmark multi-deal agreement with Marriott International, Inc.. Under this strategic partnership, six new hotels comprising 940 rooms will be developed across four key markets in India.

The expansion will feature premium properties under five globally renowned Marriott Bonvoy brands – The Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard by Marriott, and Fairfield by Marriott. This development further strengthens Brigade’s hospitality portfolio, which has been instrumental in shaping India’s urban landscape with high-quality hotels in key South Indian cities.

With this latest signing, Brigade Hotel Ventures continues its nearly 15-year-long partnership with Marriott, adding to its existing collaborations – the Sheraton Grand Bangalore at Brigade Gateway and Four Points by Sheraton Kochi Infopark. The association will now total eight Marriott-branded hotels with a combined inventory of 1,388 keys.

The agreement was formally signed by Nirupa Shankar, Managing Director of Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited, and Rajeev Menon, President – Asia Pacific (excluding China), Marriott International. The event was attended by MR Jaishankar, Executive Chairman of Brigade Enterprises Limited; Vineet Verma, Director – Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited; Ranju Alex, Regional Vice President – South Asia, Marriott International; and Kiran Andicot, Regional Vice President – Hotel Development South Asia, Marriott International.

This collaboration is set to further boost Marriott’s footprint in Southern India, enhancing the luxury and upscale hospitality offerings in the region. The deal also reaffirms Brigade’s commitment to expanding its premium hospitality portfolio in partnership with one of the world’s leading hotel brands.
