Bondada Engineering Limited has entered into a long-term strategic partnership with the Adani Group. The two companies have formalised a Framework Agreement that sets the stage for a large-scale design and construction collaboration in solar energy, marking one of the most significant alliances in the sector.

The agreement was signed during a special ceremony at the Adani Corporate Office in Shantigram, Ahmedabad, where Shri Vineet Jain, Managing Director and CEO of Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), and Dr. Bondada Raghavendra Rao, Chairman and Managing Director of Bondada Engineering Limited (BEL), officially sealed the partnership. The announcement has drawn strong attention across the industry, given the scale and ambition of the projects tied to this collaboration.

Under the first tranche of this five-year framework, Bondada Engineering has already secured a substantial order for 650 MW of solar energy development from AGEL. This single order itself reinforces the growing trust placed in Bondada’s capabilities, especially as the company continues to scale rapidly in the renewable ecosystem.

The partnership comes at a time when the Adani Group is steering one of the world’s largest renewable energy initiatives at the Khavda region in Kutch, Gujarat. The site, part of India’s national renewable energy mission, is being developed into a massive 30 GW green energy hub. For a project of this size, the consortium chose Bondada Engineering as a strategic design and construction partner—an acknowledgment of the company’s expanding influence in the solar sector.

Bondada Engineering’s progress over the past few years has been striking. The company recently crossed a milestone of commissioning 1 GW of solar capacity. It is currently executing another 1.8 GW of solar projects, with 2.5 GW worth of new orders lined up. Alongside these, an additional 2 GW IPP project in Andhra Pradesh further strengthens its pipeline. With this pace of expansion, Bondada Engineering is positioning itself as a crucial contributor to India’s renewable energy goals.
