Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) reported a 4% year-on-year rise in its standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2025, at Rs 504 crore compared to Rs 489.6 crore in the same quarter last year. The company’s performance was supported by higher revenues and improved operational margins.

Revenue from operations increased by 9% YoY to Rs 8,993.4 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 8,260.2 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY24. The company’s EBITDA grew by 14.2% YoY to Rs 831 crore, up from Rs 727.9 crore last year. EBITDA margin also expanded by 44 basis points to 9.25% from 8.81%.

The improvement in performance was attributed to better execution and cost efficiencies. Total expenses for the quarter rose to Rs 8,448 crore from Rs 7,794 crore a year ago, largely due to increased material and employee costs.

For the full fiscal year, BHEL’s net profit more than doubled to Rs 1,430 crore from Rs 724 crore in FY24, while revenue from operations grew to Rs 28,339 crore from Rs 23,893 crore.
