Swedish telecom gear giant Ericsson has secured a new multi-billion dollar deal for selling 5G equipment from India’s Bharti Airtel, as per Reuters.
This follows Ericsson’s $3.6 billion contract last month to sell 5G equipment to India’s Vodafone Idea. The deal was shared with Samsung and Nokia.
Bharti Airtel, one of India’s largest telecom service providers, has committed to investing heavily in 5G infrastructure to offer improved internet speeds and connectivity in urban and rural areas alike. Ericsson’s latest reported deal ensures the company remains a key player in the deployment of 5G in India, further solidifying its position in one of the world’s largest and most competitive telecom markets.
