Bharti Airtel has announced a remarkable decline in cybercrime complaints on its network, thanks to its robust anti-fraud initiatives. This significant improvement has been further validated by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).

According to the MHA-I4C, Airtel has witnessed a 68.7% decrease in the value of financial losses and a 14.3% reduction in overall cybercrime incidents on its network. The analysis compares key cybercrime indicators from September 2024, before the launch of Airtel’s Fraud & Spam Detection solution, with those from June 2025, confirming the effectiveness of the telecom giant’s proactive measures.

In September 2024, Airtel launched India’s first network-based AI-powered spam detection solution, aimed at tackling the growing menace of spam calls and messages. This pioneering technology alerts customers in real-time about suspected spam calls and SMSes, marking a first-of-its-kind service by any telecom provider in the country.

Building on this success, in May 2025, Airtel introduced the world’s first solution to detect and block malicious links across all forms of communication on its network in real time. This service has been seamlessly integrated and automatically enabled for all Airtel mobile and broadband customers at no extra cost, ensuring enhanced safety and peace of mind for users.
