Bharat Forge Limited, a leader in forging and manufacturing solutions, has taken a significant step in its defence sector ambitions through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (KSSL). KSSL’s step-down subsidiary, Agneyastra Energetics Limited, has successfully entered into an agreement with the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd. (APIIC) to acquire a 949.65-acre land parcel in Madakasira, Anantapur District.
This strategic land acquisition is intended for the development of a state-of-the-art Defence Energetics Manufacturing Complex. The facility will include a high explosives manufacturing plant, ammunition filling plant, and gun propellant facility, with provisions for future expansion into advanced energetics for rockets, missile systems, and space launch vehicles.
The move aligns with Bharat Forge’s long-term growth objectives, further strengthening its footprint in the Indian defence sector and contributing to the nation’s self-reliance in defence manufacturing. By investing in cutting-edge infrastructure, Bharat Forge is positioning itself as a key player in advanced defence and space-related energetics.
