Bharat Forge Limited announced on Wednesday, April 23, that it has received approval from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) for its proposed acquisition of AAM India Manufacturing Corporation Private Limited. The acquisition involves the purchase of 100% shareholding, as per the Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) signed on October 17, 2024.

The company clarified that while the CCI nod marks a key milestone, the completion of the transaction remains subject to fulfilment of other conditions precedent specified in the agreement. Bharat Forge added that the detailed CCI order is still awaited.

The acquisition is part of Bharat Forge’s strategic expansion in the manufacturing sector, reinforcing its capabilities in the automotive and industrial components space. The company said this move is in line with its long-term growth agenda and will help strengthen its domestic and global footprint.
