Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a leading aerospace and defense electronics company, has signed a significant contract with the Indian Air Force (IAF) worth Rs. 593.22 crores (excluding taxes). The agreement focuses on providing maintenance services for the Akash Missile System, which was originally supplied by BEL.
In the exchange filing, the company shared, “Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), has signed a contract with Indian Air Force valued at Rs.593.22 Crores (excluding taxes) for providing maintenance services for the Akash Missile System, which was supplied by BEL.”
This latest contract marks a strong start for BEL in the financial year 2025-26, adding Rs. 593.22 crores to its order book. The deal highlights BEL’s continued commitment to supporting India’s defense capabilities through advanced technological solutions and efficient maintenance services.
Additionally, BEL has successfully concluded negotiations with customers for acquiring further orders worth Rs. 5,000 crores. This development is expected to significantly strengthen the company’s financial position and reinforce its standing as a key defense supplier in India.
