BEML Limited has entered into a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering and HD Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries to collaborate on the design, development, manufacturing, and support of next-generation maritime and port cranes in India.
The partnership focuses on building both conventional and autonomous crane systems tailored for India’s maritime and port infrastructure needs. The MoU also includes provisions for complete after-sales support, spare parts availability, and training services.
Under this collaboration, the companies aim to leverage their respective capabilities to support the growth of India’s port operations and associated logistics infrastructure. The cooperation covers technology development, localized manufacturing, and lifecycle support for the equipment.
In the exchange filing, the company shared, “BEML Limited, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering and HD Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries have signed a tripartite MoU to jointly design, develop, manufacture, and support nextgeneration conventional & autonomous maritime and port cranes in India, complemented by full after-sales, spares, and training support.”
