BEML Limited has recently informed exchanges that it has received an additional order from Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited for the Bengaluru Metro Phase II project. The new contract, valued at ₹414 crore, covers the supply of extra trainsets that will support the expanding metro network across the city.

The company clarified that the order falls within its regular course of business, aligning with its long-standing role as a key supplier of rolling stock to metro projects across India. With Phase II of the Bengaluru Metro gradually progressing, the requirement for more trainsets has increased, and this additional allocation aims to support the growing passenger traffic expected on the extended routes.

BEML continues to remain involved in the city’s urban transport expansion, and the latest development further strengthens its association with BMRCL as the metro network moves toward broader operational capacity.
