BEML Limited has secured a major contract worth around ₹1,888 crore from the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) for the manufacture, supply, testing, and commissioning of fully functional LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches.
The order, announced under SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015, marks a significant addition to BEML’s order book and falls within the company’s regular course of business. The project involves delivering complete, ready-to-use LHB coaches, known for their modern design, enhanced safety, and improved passenger comfort.
This development highlights BEML’s strong presence in the railway manufacturing segment and its continued contribution to India’s transportation infrastructure growth. The new contract is expected to boost the company’s revenue visibility in the coming quarters.
BEML Q1 Results
BEML Limited reported consolidated revenue of ₹634 crore in Q1FY26, flat compared to the same quarter last year, but sharply lower than ₹1,652 crore in Q4FY25.
The company posted a net loss of ₹64 crore, slightly narrowing from ₹70 crore in Q1FY25, versus a profit of ₹288 crore in the previous quarter. Loss before tax stood at ₹70 crore, down from ₹75 crore a year ago.
EBITDA loss was ₹48 crore, marginally better than ₹50 crore in the year-ago period. Total expenses rose slightly to ₹713 crore from ₹710 crore last year.
