Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has reported a record turnover of approximately Rs 23,000 crore for the financial year 2024-25, marking a 16% increase over the previous year’s turnover of Rs 19,820 crore. This performance, which is provisional and unaudited, reflects the company’s consistent growth momentum in the defence electronics sector.
The company also posted robust export performance, achieving sales worth USD 106 million in FY25, a 14% rise from USD 92.98 million in FY24.
In terms of order intake, BEL secured new orders worth Rs 18,715 crore during the year. These include key projects such as the BMP II Upgrade, Ashwini Radar, Software Defined Radios, Multi-Function Radars, Anti-drone systems, Airport Surveillance Radar, Sonar Upgradation, and various defence and non-defence contracts. As a result, the total order book of BEL as of April 1, 2025, stands at approximately Rs 71,650 crore, which includes an export order book of USD 359 million.
Chairman and Managing Director Shri Manoj Jain emphasized BEL’s continued focus on self-reliance through enhanced indigenisation, modernisation, outsourcing to Indian MSMEs and start-ups, and expansion into international markets. He noted that these strategies would help the company sustain its leadership position in the strategic electronics domain.
