Bandhan Bank has announced the appointment of Mr. Partha Pratim Sengupta as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD&CEO) for a period of three years, starting November 1, 2024. The decision was approved by the bank’s Board of Directors, following the approval of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and based on recommendations from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
Mr. Sengupta brings nearly four decades of experience in the banking industry, having previously held senior leadership roles at State Bank of India (SBI) and Indian Overseas Bank (IOB). His appointment as the MD&CEO is subject to shareholder approval.

 - Experience: Mr. Sengupta has worked across retail and corporate banking sectors, with experience in credit, trade finance, and other banking operations.
 
Following Mr. Sengupta’s appointment, Mr. Ratan Kumar Kesh, who has been serving as Interim MD&CEO, will continue in his role as the Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer of Bandhan Bank.
