Bajel Projects Limited announced on September 27, 2024, that it has secured a major order for the design and construction of a 220KV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) and transmission line extension work from a private sector client. The project will be executed in Navi Mumbai for a colocation data center, marking Bajel’s entry into the rapidly expanding data center market in India.

The scope of work includes the construction of the GIS substation and the extension of the transmission line, leveraging Bajel’s expertise in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC). This development underscores Bajel’s strategic focus on the growing data center sector driven by India’s increasing demand for data storage and processing capabilities.
