Astra Microwave Products Ltd on Friday (October 31) said its joint venture, Astra Rafael Comsys Private Ltd, has secured an order worth ₹285.56 crore, including taxes, from the Ministry of Defence. The order is for communication systems and accessories for the Special Forces of the Indian Air Force and will be executed within 11 months.
The company clarified that the award was made by a domestic entity, with no promoter or related-party involvement. A substantial share of the execution work will be handled by Astra Rafael Comsys, its JV company.
Astra Microwave, a key player in India’s defence electronics ecosystem, continues to strengthen its order pipeline. Earlier, the company’s leadership highlighted expectations of ₹1,300–₹1,400 crore in order intake for the year, backed by a consolidated order book of ₹2,303 crore. The ARC business alone is projected to cross ₹100 million in order backlog next year, supporting long-term revenue visibility.
The firm’s portfolio spans radar systems, electronic warfare, missile electronics, and telemetry, with radar contributing nearly 45% of revenue. Astra also supplies critical subsystems for the Akash missile and has been instrumental in the Netra airborne surveillance platform and multiple radar programs.
