Asian Paints (Polymers) Private Limited (APPPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Asian Paints, has announced an increased investment in its upcoming manufacturing facility at Dahej, Gujarat. Initially estimated at ₹2,560 crores, the project cost has now been revised to ₹3,250 crores due to pre-operative expenses and rising project costs.
The decision to allocate an additional ₹690 crores was approved by the Board of Directors in a meeting held on March 27, 2025. The facility will focus on manufacturing Vinyl Acetate Ethylene Emulsion (VAE), Vinyl Acetate Monomer (VAM), and an ethylene storage and handling unit.
The project will be funded through a mix of equity funding by Asian Paints in APPPL and external debt financing. The company has assured stakeholders that necessary disclosures regarding further developments will be made as required.
This expansion aligns with Asian Paints’ strategic growth in the polymer sector, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and self-reliance in raw material production
