ABD Maestro Pvt. Ltd., the super-premium and luxury spirits arm of Allied Blenders & Distillers, has officially launched AODH Irish Whiskey in India, marking a decisive entry into one of the country’s fastest-growing premium alcohol categories. ABD Maestro is co-founded by Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh, who also serves as the brand’s creative partner, with a clear focus on building world-class spirits brands for Indian and global consumers.

The name AODH, meaning “flame” in Irish, reflects warmth, brotherhood, continuity and enduring stories. Crafted using a signature triple-distillation process, AODH Irish Whiskey presents a bright gold colour with subtle coppery glints and remarkable clarity. On the nose, it offers soft notes of vanilla cream, light honey and toffee, drawn from ex-bourbon cask maturation. This leads into a smooth, silky palate and an elegant, lingering finish, positioning AODH firmly in the premium Irish whiskey space.

India has rapidly emerged as a major growth market for Irish whiskey. According to the Drinks Ireland – Spirits 2024 Annual Report, Irish whiskey exports to India have surged by 57%, making the country the world’s fifth-largest market for the category. This growth highlights a broader shift among Indian consumers toward premium, authentic spirits and a growing interest in global provenance beyond traditional Scotch whiskies.

The launch of AODH Irish Whiskey aligns with ABD Maestro’s future-ready portfolio strategy and its ambition to tap into evolving consumer preferences. By introducing an Irish whiskey with strong global credentials, the company is reinforcing its commitment to offering high-quality, premium spirits that resonate with modern Indian drinkers.

AODH Irish Whiskey has been launched in Haryana and will be followed immediately by Maharashtra, with an MRP of ₹3,950 for a 750 ml bottle. The brand is set to expand further across key markets including Goa, West Bengal, Karnataka, Delhi and other parts of North India, strengthening Allied Blenders’ presence in the premium spirits segment.
