Afcons Infrastructure Ltd has secured environmental clearance from the Madhya Pradesh State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) for the Raghavpur Multipurpose Project in Dindori district. This key approval paves the way for the commencement of construction activities.
Awarded by the Narmada Valley Development Authority, Government of Madhya Pradesh, the project includes the construction of a dam and a 25 MW hydroelectric powerhouse on the Narmada River. A major highlight of the initiative is a modern piped irrigation system that will provide micro-irrigation across an irrigable command area of 17,587 hectares, boosting agricultural productivity in the region.
Commenting on the milestone, Mr. Satish Paretkar, Director, Hydro & Underground, Water Supply, Afcons Infrastructure Ltd, said, “We have deployed senior personnels, Mr RK Singh and Mr Arumugam Sabapathy, to ensure eƯicient project execution. We look forward to leveraging our engineering expertise to deliver this project efficiently and sustainably.”
RK Singh, Project Director at Afcons, added that the company’s scope included land acquisition, R&R compliances, and securing statutory clearances from both the central and state governments.
