Adani Power has reportedly been awarded a contract by the Uttar Pradesh state government to supply 1500 MW of electricity. The agreement, as per reports, involves a rate of ₹5.38 per unit, which is set for a specified duration.
This development marks a significant step in meeting the growing energy demands of Uttar Pradesh. The state government has reportedly given the green light for the purchase, which is expected to help stabilize power availability and cater to the rising needs of the population.

The power will be sourced from Adani Power’s generation facilities and supplied to the state’s grid as part of the agreed terms. The contract is expected to have an impact on both the state’s power distribution infrastructure and its overall energy security.
In the meantime, Adani Power shares opened at ₹559.90, reaching a high of ₹565.50 and a low of ₹540.30 on the latest trading day. Over the past year, the stock has seen a significant range, with a 52-week high of ₹895.85 and a low of ₹432.00.
