Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) has achieved a significant milestone in March 2025, handling its highest-ever monthly cargo volume of 41.5 MMT, marking a 9% year-on-year growth. This surge was primarily driven by a 19% rise in container volumes and a 5% increase in liquid and gas cargo.

A historic achievement was recorded at Mundra Port, which became the first Indian port to surpass 200 MMT in annual cargo volume, reaching 200.7 MMT for FY25. This establishes Mundra as the largest and most efficient port in India, reinforcing its position as a key trade gateway.

Meanwhile, Vizhinjam Port also reached a significant milestone by crossing the 100,000 TEU mark within the month. The overall cargo handled by APSEZ for FY25 stood at 450.2 MMT, reflecting a 7% year-on-year growth, led by a 20% rise in container volumes and a 9% increase in liquid and gas shipments.

The logistics segment also witnessed impressive growth, with rail volumes reaching 0.64 million TEUs, an 8% increase year-on-year, while the GPWIS volume stood at 21.97 MMT, up 9%. These numbers highlight APSEZ’s continued expansion and operational excellence, strengthening its role as India’s largest port operator.
