Adani Ports handles 37.9 MMT of cargo in October 2024

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) reported handling a total of 37.9 million metric tons (MMT) of cargo during October 2024, staying on track to meet its annual guidance.

  1. Year-to-Date Cargo Volume Growth: From January to October 2024, APSEZ handled 257.7 MMT of cargo, marking an 8% year-on-year (YoY) growth. This increase was largely driven by container cargo, which saw a 19% YoY rise, followed by liquids and gas at a 9% growth rate.
  2. Logistics Rail Volume Increase: APSEZ’s logistics rail volumes grew 11% YoY to reach 0.36 million TEUs (Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units), while GPWIS (General Purpose Wagon Investment Scheme) volumes saw an 18% YoY increase to 12.5 MMT.
