
Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), India’s largest renewable energy company, has announced the successful commissioning of 112.5 MW of renewable power projects at Khavda, Gujarat, through its various step-down subsidiaries.
With the addition of these projects, AGEL’s total operational renewable generation capacity has now reached 16,598.6 MW, further strengthening its leadership position in India’s clean energy transition.
The company confirmed that following the receipt of relevant clearances, the decision to operationalize the plants was taken at 11:43 p.m. on September 30, 2025, and power generation commenced on the same day.
The Khavda renewable energy park, often described as one of the world’s largest clean energy hubs, continues to play a crucial role in helping India meet its ambitious renewable energy targets. Adani Green’s rapid scale-up at Khavda is expected to significantly boost the country’s solar and wind power capacity while reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
