ACME Venus Urja Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of ACME Solar Holdings Limited, has received long-term project financing of ₹3,892 crore from the State Bank of India (SBI). The funding will support the development and construction of a 400 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project in Barmer, Rajasthan.
This marks the company’s largest financing from SBI to date and also represents SBI’s first funding commitment to ACME’s FDRE initiatives. The loan will be repaid over 19 years, highlighting the long-term strategic nature of the investment.
The project is contracted with NHPC at a tariff of ₹4.64 per unit. It will combine solar power with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), ensuring reliable supply and improved dispatchability in line with the power purchase agreement (PPA) conditions. By integrating storage, the project is expected to provide steady renewable power, a key step toward strengthening India’s green energy transition.
