ACME Solar Holdings Limited has taken another significant step in scaling its renewable portfolio by commissioning an additional 16 MW at its 100 MW wind power project in Surendranagar, Gujarat. This comes shortly after the company brought 28 MW online in October 2025, marking steady progress in the phased commissioning plan.

The latest capacity addition was witnessed and verified by officials from the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL). The formal commissioning certificate is expected to be issued soon. With this development, the project’s operational capacity now stands at 44 MW, reinforcing ACME Solar’s position among India’s leading renewable energy players with a total installed capacity of 2,934 MW.

The project recently received an extension for its Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD) from the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC). The regulator acknowledged the impact of Force Majeure events under the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), revising the SCOD to March 5, 2026. Despite the extension, the project has already achieved early commissioning for 44 MW across its first two phases.

The wind farm is being developed using in-house EPC capabilities and features SANY’s 4 MW turbines. Financing support for the project has come from the Power Finance Corporation (PFC). Once fully operational, the generated power will be supplied under a 25-year PPA between ACME Eco Clean and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).
