ACME Solar Holdings Limited has achieved a significant milestone by successfully commissioning four ISTS-connected SECI projects totaling 1,023 MW in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, on December 18, 2024. This marks one of the largest single-location renewable energy projects in India this year.
The remaining 177 MW capacity from these plants is energized and undergoing commissioning. Power supply from the project began in October 2024, demonstrating ACME’s commitment to timely execution.
At full capacity, the project is expected to generate approximately 3,000 MUs of clean electricity annually, mitigating greenhouse gas emissions by 2.6 million tonnes each year. Strategically located in a high solar irradiation zone, the project integrates common infrastructure across its four 300 MW plants, optimizing power evacuation and enhancing efficiency.
The project is backed by financing from PFC and REC and operates under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) at a competitive tariff of ₹2.44 per unit.
