ACME Solar Holdings Limited on Tuesday announced the appointment of Ayalur S Kumar as Chief Procurement Officer & Supply Chain, as the renewable energy company looks to strengthen its leadership team amid its long-term expansion plans. The appointment was disclosed through an official press release to the stock exchanges on December 17, 2025.
The company said Kumar’s induction comes at a crucial phase as ACME Solar targets 10 GW of operational contracted capacity by 2030. In his new role, Kumar will be responsible for overseeing procurement strategy and supply chain operations across ACME Solar’s expanding renewable energy portfolio.
Ayalur Kumar brings nearly 30 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, logistics, and operations across sectors such as renewable energy, power, EV infrastructure, and biorefinery. He has spent more than 15 years in senior leadership roles, with prior stints at companies including Fortum, Skoda Power, ABB, and Alstom. His expertise includes high-tech component sourcing, supplier relationship management, sustainability assessments, and globally aligned supply chain optimization.
Kumar holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in International Business from IIFT, New Delhi, adding strong academic credentials to his industry experience.
ACME Solar is a leading integrated renewable energy player with an operational capacity of 2,934 MW and an under-construction capacity of 4,586 MW, including nearly 15 GWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS). The company operates across solar, wind, hybrid, FDRE, and storage solutions with in-house EPC and O&M capabilities.
The company clarified that the disclosure was made on a voluntary basis and does not fall under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
