ABB India Ltd has successfully delivered an advanced automation and digital solution for Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IndianOil), revolutionizing the country’s oil and gas pipeline management. The project enhances IndianOil’s Centralized Pipeline Information Management System (CPIMS), covering a vast network of over 20,000 kilometers that transports 125 million metric tons of oil and 49 million metric standard cubic meters of gas annually.
With the integration of ABB Ability™ SCADAvantage, the system ensures top-tier cybersecurity and disaster recovery solutions hosted on the cloud. This cutting-edge technology allows seamless monitoring and management of IndianOil’s extensive pipeline infrastructure, reinforcing operational efficiency and safety. Additionally, ABB’s 10-year ABB Care contract will unify all existing pipelines under CPIMS, ensuring long-term service support and operational reliability.
Awarded in February 2024, ABB swiftly designed and implemented its solutions within a year, demonstrating its expertise in electrification and automation.
