CEAT, a prominent Indian tyre manufacturer, has unveiled SecuraDrive CIRCL, marking India’s first road-ready passenger car tyre made with up to 90% sustainable bio-based materials. This launch underscores CEAT’s commitment to premiumisation through sustainability and technological innovation, following its history of pioneering products like CALM technology, ZR-rated tyres, and Run-Flat tyres.
Targeted at urban consumers aged 25 to 45 from upper middle-class and affluent households in Tier 1 cities, SecuraDrive CIRCL blends eco-consciousness with safety and world-class performance. Designed at CEAT’s advanced R&D centre in Halol, the tyre comes in two variants featuring 50% and 90% sustainable content, the highest ever achieved in a road-tested passenger car tyre in India.

SecuraDrive CIRCL integrates three patented, world-first innovations: a Unified Biopolymer Inner Liner that reduces material complexity and emissions; a Glycerol-Based Accelerator that replaces petroleum chemicals with a bio-based alternative; and an Anti-Static Silica Conductive Solution that substitutes conventional carbon black while maintaining electrical conductivity and passenger safety. Together, these advancements position CIRCL among the most sustainable, fully road-ready passenger car tyres available today, proving that premium performance and sustainability can coexist without compromise.
CEAT’s sustainability initiatives extend across its value chain, including sourcing eco-friendly raw materials and implementing circular practices such as end-of-life tyre recycling. SecuraDrive CIRCL will be available in key markets starting September 2025, priced at INR 12,999 for the 90% sustainable variant and INR 8,999 for the 50% sustainable variant.
