Nithin Kamath urges Indians to question their food choices: ‘Slowly killing us’

Zerodha CEO Nithin Kamath has raised concerns over the food consumed by Indians. On social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Kamath pressed about the importance of questioning the ingredients in our food and making informed choices.

He wrote, “We Indians need to question what goes into the food we consume. The more we ask, the better choices we will have. The sugar content in most of our food is ridiculous.” The founder added that the adulteration in food items such as protein, milk, and masala, and the “substandard chemicals” used for food colouring is slowly killing us.

Kamath’s post comes after new guidelines that can impact branded products- including soft drinks, juices, cookies, ice creams, and cereals – could be introduced to address sugar content in foods and beverages.
