Balkrishna Industries has received an income tax assessment order for the financial year 2023-2024, demanding ₹52.11 crores. The order, issued by the Assistant Commissioner of , Central Circle 3(2), Mumbai, was received by the company on 19th March 2026.

The assessment order was passed under section 143(3) read with section 144C(3) of the Income-Tax Act, 1961. Despite the substantial demand, stated that there is no impact on its financial, operational, or other activities. The company plans to contest the order at a higher appellate level.
