Bajaj Electricals has received two assessment orders from authorities demanding a total of ₹19.93 crore for alleged tax discrepancies in FY 2019-20 and FY 2022-23. The company is evaluating legal options.

The Office of the Commercial Tax Officer in Central issued the orders on March 13, 2026. The first order demands ₹11.20 crore for FY 2019-20, comprising a tax demand of ₹3.66 crore, interest of ₹3.88 crore, and a penalty of ₹3.66 crore. The second order demands ₹8.73 crore for FY 2022-23, including a tax demand of ₹5.09 crore, interest of ₹3.13 crore, and a penalty of ₹0.51 crore.

The orders allege differences in input tax credit and short payment of tax for the respective financial years. stated that the financial impact, if materialised, would be limited to the demand and penalty amounts. The company affirmed that there is no impact on its financial, operational, or other activities due to these assessments.
