AstraZeneca Pharma India has secured approval to market Durvalumab Solution for Infusion, branded as Imfinzi, for the treatment of unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma in India. The approval was granted by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation on 16 March 2026.
The newly approved indication allows AstraZeneca to import and distribute Imfinzi in dosages of 120 mg/2.4 mL and 500 mg/10 mL for patients who have not undergone prior systemic therapy. This development is contingent upon obtaining any additional statutory approvals required.
