Apple buys “Cherry” from Avengers Endgame directors

Apple purchased “Cherry” from the Russos’ production company in a deal reportedly worth more than $40 million.

Apple has purchased Cherry, It’ll be the first film of Russo brothers since their all-time record grossing Avengers Endgame.
Cherry is an upcoming American crime drama film directed by Anthony and Joe Russo with a written screenplay by Jessica Goldberg and Angela Russo-Otstot. It is based on the novel of the same name by Nico Walker. The film stars Tom Holland in the lead role, along with a supporting cast that includes Ciara Bravo, Bill Skarsgård and Jack Reynor.

The film is set to release in the year 2021. For Apple users the film will debut on Apple TV+ early next year. It is also expected to have a limited run in theatres due to COVID-19.

Thomas Stanley Holland is an English actor. He began his acting career on stage in the title role of Billy Elliot the Musical in London’s West End from 2008 to 2010. Holland made his feature film debut in The Impossible (2012), directed by J.A. Bayona, alongside Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor. Holland’s upcoming movie “Uncharted” is set to release on 8th July 2021 In France. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer. He is an American film director, film producer, television producer, music video director, and commercial director who lives in Los Angeles. He is best known as the director of Zombieland, his first feature film, and its sequel Zombieland:

The brothers directed four Marvel superhero movies, three of which grossed more than $1 billion (roughly ₹ 7369 crores). Their fourth, Avengers Endgame, last year surpassed Avatar to seize the all-time box office record of $2.798 billion (roughly ₹ 20621 crores).

The Coronavirus Pandemic has seen major productions delayed, and theatrical releases postponed by a year or more, potentially benefiting streaming platforms. Theatres are said to run with only 30% of occupancy.
