AMI Paradigm Solutions Private Limited (AMIPS) has signed a binding agreement to acquire the Smart World and Communication (SWC) business from L&T Technology Services Limited, as it expands its presence in AI-led infrastructure solutions.
The acquisition is aimed at strengthening AMIPS’ capabilities in sovereign AI and public systems, with the Smartworld portfolio expected to complement its long-term growth strategy. The transaction is expected to close by July 2026, subject to customary conditions.
The company said it is building a vertically integrated AI platform spanning carbon-free power, data centre infrastructure, high-performance chips, software stack and applications, along with flexible consumption models.
The global AI in sovereign services market is currently estimated at around $25 billion and is projected to reach nearly $100 billion by the early 2030s.
“We have built an intelligent energy platform that delivers electrons to compute more efficiently than anywhere else. In addition, we are building an end-to-end value chain that transforms on-demand clean electron into intelligent compute tokens,” said Anil Chalamalasetty, Chairman, AM Group.
Amit Chadha, CEO & MD, L&T Technology Services said, “We are reframing our strategic focus on long-term value creation with key pillars in EI, Software, and Digital Manufacturing, targeting Mobility, Sustainability, and Tech for faster growth at LTTS. By integrating SWC’s public sector capabilities, AMI Paradigm Solutions will enhance AI offerings and create a strong platform for Smartworld employees, delivering greater value to our clients.”
