AbhiBus, the bus ticketing business of ixigo, announced a strategic partnership with Fleetx, an AI-driven fleet intelligence platform, to introduce advanced video telematics and driver safety solutions across its network of bus operators.
The collaboration aims to strengthen passenger safety, improve operational visibility, and enhance driver accountability using Fleetx’s AI-powered technology. The integration enables end-to-end visibility with multi-camera monitoring, 24×7 recording, and live streaming capabilities even when buses are stationary. The system uses AI-driven alerts to detect risks such as driver fatigue, distraction, and unsafe driving, enabling timely intervention before incidents occur.
The partnership includes an AI-powered Control Tower that adds another layer of safety by triggering real-time alerts, enabling faster issue resolution, and supporting proactive monitoring. Driver behaviour analytics and historical insights are designed to continuously improve fleet performance and safety standards across AbhiBus‘s operator network.
Rohit Sharma, Chief Operating Officer of AbhiBus, commented on the partnership: “Passenger safety has always been central to what we do at AbhiBus, but real-time visibility and driver accountability have remained persistent gaps across the industry. With Fleetx’s AI-powered video telematics, we now have the intelligence to move from reactive to proactive — detecting risks before they escalate, and ensuring every bus on our network meets the highest safety standards.”
Vineet Sharma, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Fleetx, stated: “Fleet operations have often relied on fragmented systems and reactive safety measures. Our AI-powered video telematics enables real-time monitoring and proactive driver interventions. Together with AbhiBus and ixigo, we aim to set new benchmarks for safer and more transparent fleet operations at scale.”
AbhiBus operates as a leading online bus-ticketing platform aggregating inventory from over 6,200 bus operators, covering more than 650,000 routes across India. The platform serves as the official ticketing partner for several state road transport corporations and IRCTC bus bookings. ixigo, which owns and operates AbhiBus, reported over 54 crore annual active users in FY25 across its train, flight, bus, and hotel booking platforms.
Fleetx, founded in 2017, has deployed over 10,000 AI-powered video dashcams across commercial fleets and has served more than 500,000 vehicles across India, tracking over 10 million trips annually and processing more than 20 billion sensory data points every day.
