Highlighting the importance of continuous learning, she said, “This is a major support system for CIPET students. Skilling and competence are things that never end. If you do not upgrade yourself with time, you will fall behind. This is a continuous process and must always remain a priority.” On this occasion, Mr. Deepak Mishra, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, was also present as a special guest.
Speaking as the Guest of Honour, Ms. Mercy Epao, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), called the job fair an ideal model of collaboration. Meanwhile, Prof. (Dr.) Shishir Sinha, Director General of CIPET, termed the initiative as “the need of the hour.” He added that the opportunity for students to secure their dream jobs under one roof is highly encouraging not only for candidates but also for institutions.
Mr. Arvind Mehta, Chairman of the AIPMA Governing Council, informed that more than 450 live interviews were successfully conducted in a single day. It is noteworthy that AIPMA has been consistently organising such job fairs since 2013, making it the only organisation in India to conduct this initiative regularly. The event saw participation from a wide range of professionals, including plastic engineers, mould designers, maintenance engineers, research experts, and management professionals. Experts estimate that nearly 70% of employers and 50% of candidates are likely to succeed during the initial recruitment stage itself.
On the occasion, AIPMA Vice President Mr. Raju Desai also announced the upcoming PlastIndia International Exhibition, scheduled to begin tomorrow at Bharat Mandapam.
The AIPMA Job Fair is expected to play a significant role in addressing the shortage of skilled manpower in the plastic sector, while also strengthening the “Make in India” mission and contributing meaningfully to national development.
