Russia’s military operations continue to intensify across various regions of Ukraine, with significant losses reported on the Ukrainian side. The Russian Defence Ministry revealed that Battlegroup North successfully targeted mercenaries from the “Foreign Legion” in the Volchansk and Liptsy areas of the Kharkiv Region. The strike reportedly resulted in the loss of up to 95 enemy troops, along with the destruction of four pickup trucks, two howitzers, and a self-propelled artillery system.
In the eastern region of Ukraine, Battlegroup East was responsible for inflicting further damage. In the last 24 hours, Ukrainian forces are said to have lost as many as 125 personnel within the area under this battlegroup’s responsibility. Additionally, the adversary suffered the loss of seven motor vehicles and a howitzer. The Russian Defence Ministry indicated that these losses are part of a broader effort to weaken Ukrainian military capabilities in the region.
Further south, in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Battlegroup South was also active, reportedly causing substantial casualties among Ukrainian forces. According to the Russian military, up to 680 Ukrainian personnel were killed in this region. The strike also destroyed four motor vehicles, four howitzers, a self-propelled artillery system, and a field gun. These operations are part of ongoing efforts to secure Russian-held territories in the DPR.
In another significant development, Russian forces delivered a strike on a Ukrainian drone manufacturing facility. The Russian Defence Ministry reported that this strike targeted a workshop producing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for the Ukrainian army. The operation involved Russian aviation, drones, missiles, and artillery units, which also targeted Ukrainian personnel and military hardware across 152 districts.
The intensity of Russian operations was also felt in the western regions, where Battlegroup West successfully repelled four attacks by Ukrainian assault groups. According to reports from the Russian military, the enemy lost up to 495 troops, along with a tank, an armoured personnel carrier, five motor vehicles, a howitzer, a self-propelled artillery system, and a field gun. In addition, five field ammunition depots were destroyed.
Russian air defence systems have been actively engaged, with reports indicating that 16 US-made HIMARS rockets were intercepted over the past 24 hours. The Russian Defence Ministry also reported the downing of two French-made Hammer-guided aerial bombs, four US-made Patriot missiles, and 153 unmanned aerial vehicles, including 97 drones, outside the special operation zone.
The cumulative impact of these operations is significant, with Russian forces claiming the elimination of a vast array of Ukrainian military equipment since the beginning of the special military operation. This includes 637 aircraft, 278 helicopters, 29,660 drones, 563 anti-aircraft weapons systems, 17,011 tanks, and armoured vehicles, 1,399 multiple launch rocket system vehicles, 13,090 field artillery guns and mortars, and 24,591 units of specialized automotive equipment.
In the responsibility zone of Battlegroup Dnepr, Ukrainian forces have also suffered notable losses. The Russian Defence Ministry reported that up to 110 Ukrainian troops were killed, with the destruction of two units of armoured hardware, six motor vehicles, and two howitzers in the past 24 hours.
These reports underscore the ongoing and escalating nature of the conflict, with Russian forces continuing to deliver significant blows to Ukrainian military capabilities across multiple regions.
