Russian forces have intensified their operations against Ukrainian military positions, reportedly striking 127 areas over the past 24 hours, according to Russia’s Defense Ministry. The attacks, carried out by operational and tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops, and artillery, have resulted in significant Ukrainian losses in both personnel and military hardware.
The Russian Defence Ministry reported that Battlegroup North inflicted approximately 60 casualties on Ukrainian forces in the Kharkiv region. The battlegroup targeted the 36th Marine Infantry and 92nd Assault Brigades of the Ukrainian army near Volchanskiye Khutora and Liptsy. Additionally, two Ukrainian counterattacks were repelled in the region, with losses including a U.S.-made AN/TPQ-49 counterbattery radar station.
In the western sector, Russia’s Battlegroup West reportedly caused over 540 Ukrainian casualties. The battlegroup engaged with four Ukrainian brigades near the settlements of Kopanki and Sinkovka in the Kharkiv region, Chervonaya Dibrova in the Lugansk People’s Republic, and Novosadovoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic. Russian forces also repelled a counterattack by Ukrainian assault groups, destroying a tank, multiple armoured vehicles, and several U.S.-made howitzers in the process.
Meanwhile, Battlegroup South, operating in the Donetsk People’s Republic, reported more than 570 Ukrainian casualties. Russian forces targeted the 28th Mechanized and 81st Airmobile Brigades of the Ukrainian army near Dyleyevka and Serebryanka, repelling two counterattacks. The losses in this sector included a U.S.-made M113 armoured personnel carrier and various other military vehicles.
In the eastern sector, Battlegroup East inflicted around 100 casualties on Ukrainian forces. The battlegroup engaged the 58th Motorized Infantry and 120th Territorial Defence Brigades near Prechistovka and Vodyanoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The Russian Defence Ministry noted that this battlegroup had gained more advantageous front-line positions.
Further south, Battlegroup Dnepr struck Ukrainian positions in the Zaporizhzhia region, causing 75 casualties. The group targeted the 65th and 118th Mechanized Brigades near the settlements of Nesteryanka, Novodanilovka, Malaya Tokmachka, and Pyatikhatki. Russian forces also destroyed several Ukrainian military vehicles and howitzers during the operations.
Russian air defence forces reportedly shot down 40 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and six rockets from the U.S.-made HIMARS multiple-launch rocket system. The Russian Defence Ministry stated that these actions contributed to the continued degradation of Ukrainian military capabilities.
Since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine, the Russian Armed Forces have reportedly destroyed significant amounts of Ukrainian military equipment, including over 29,000 UAVs, 17,000 tanks, and 13,000 field artillery guns, according to the Russian Defence Ministry.
As the conflict intensifies, the international community remains deeply concerned about the escalating violence and the heavy toll it is taking on both sides.
