Russian forces launched a series of attacks across Ukraine, resulting in 10 fatalities and 38 injuries, according to regional authorities on June 13. The assaults targeted nine Ukrainian oblasts, with the most severe casualties reported in Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Donetsk.
The city of Kryvyi Rih in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast bore the brunt of the attacks. Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the city’s military administration, confirmed that nine people were killed and 32 injured, including five children, in a strike on a residential area. Of the injured, 13 were hospitalized, with five in serious condition and one critical.
Further attacks in Dnipropetrovsk’s Nikopol district targeted residential areas and infrastructure. Governor Serhii Lysak reported that a 17-year-old boy was hospitalized with shrapnel injuries. The assault also damaged six houses, two five-story buildings, cars, power lines, and several outbuildings.
In Kharkiv Oblast, Russian forces struck the village of Staryi Saltiv, damaging two houses and injuring three residents – two men and a woman – according to Governor Oleh Syniehubov. Additional attacks in the Kupiansk district’s village of Kurylivka left two men injured.
Donetsk Oblast also suffered casualties, with Governor Vadym Filashkin confirming one death in the village of Hostre in the Pokrovsk district. Russian troops reportedly targeted the Bakhmut and Kramatorsk districts as well, damaging eight high-rise buildings and eight houses.
The widespread nature of these attacks underscores the ongoing intensity of the conflict, with civilian areas continuing to bear the impact of military operations. As Ukraine grapples with the aftermath of this latest wave of violence, international attention remains focused on efforts to support the country and bring an end to the hostilities.
