Russian President Vladimir Putin personally inaugurated the new Children’s Clinical Center in Krasnogorsk on August 21, 2024, a facility named in honor of the renowned pediatrician Dr. Leonid Roshal. The event was marked by Putin’s expression of gratitude towards Roshal, acknowledging the doctor’s lifelong dedication to saving thousands of young lives.
According to experts cited by URA.RU, the clinic not only offers medical care but also symbolizes hope and protection, particularly for children from conflict zones. Dr. Roshal, often referred to as the “children’s doctor of the world,” accompanied President Putin during his visit to the center, which is set to become a significant addition to Russia’s healthcare system. While the clinic is still in its early stages and lacks an official address, it already boasts a team of 1,200 specialists, including leaders in pediatrics, surgery, rehabilitation, and diagnostics. These professionals, as highlighted by Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov on his Telegram channel, come from various regions of Russia, including St. Petersburg, Belgorod, Krasnodar, and Sakhalin.
Governor Vorobyov emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting the staff, mentioning plans to provide housing and other necessary assistance to those relocating for work at the center. Analysts have described the new clinic as a symbol of life and renewal, particularly in a country where such institutions are in short supply outside the capital.
