Aamir Khan’s most awaited Lal Singh Chaddha is still going through some huddles. Recently the Tamil superstar Vijay Sethupathi had to opt out of the project. Here’s the actual reason for what happened between Vijay and Aamir.
Vijay Sethupathi told in an interview “Aamir sir himself offered me a role in Laal Singh Chaddha. He flew all the way to Tamil Nadu in a small village where I was shooting for a movie. He narrated me the entire script, I immediately said yes for the role. Later we had a good time together with some friends and the next day he flew back to Mumbai”.
Further, as per the reports Vijay had to opt out of the movie as he couldn’t lose weight. The role which was offered to him had some challenging transformation required which was not fulfilled by the actor.
Furthermore Vijay said, “Then Covid happened, it ransacked all our plans. After the lockdown I had five Telugu projects in various stages of production to complete. I just couldn’t accommodate Laal Singh Chaddha in my schedule.”
Vijay has nothing but gratitude for Aamir’s kindness. “When I went to Mumbai, Aamir Sir invited me to his home. He personally gave instructions to my driver on how to reach his home and was the perfect host, not just once but twice. I can never forget his kindness and his knowledge of cinema. It would be an honour and a pleasure to work with him sometime in the near future.”
