Today, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has released the dates of UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) 2021 (which was earlier scheduled in December 2020).

The examination conducting body National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the exam for Junior Research Fellowship and eligibility for Assistant Professor between May 2 and May 17, 2021.

The Union Minister himself took the charge to announce the exam dates via his Twitter handle, he wrote “📢Announcement National Testing Agency (@DG_NTA) will conduct next UGC-NET exam for Junior Research Fellowship & eligibility for Assistant Professor on 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14 & 17 May 2021”.

The test will be conducted in Computer Based Method (CBT) mode only and will comprise of two papers. Paper 1 will be of 50 questions worth 100 marks and Paper 2 will be of 100 questions worth 200 marks. The exam would be conducted in two shifts, morning shift will start from 9:00 am and evening shift will start from 6:00 pm. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours.

Candidates who wish to read the details regarding the exam may refer to the information bulletin for UGC-NET 2021, which will be available on the official website www.nta.ac.in, and https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in from February 2 onwards.

Aspirants can apply through an online application form, which will open on February 2 and will remain active till March 2, 2021. The application fees can be paid up to March 3, 2021.
