New Zealand won their series against Pakistan and it’s been confirmed that they are going to play in the finals of the World Test Championship. The reason for this scenario also popped up because Australia postponed their tour to South Africa due to Corona Virus. With this, New Zealand became the first team to get the tickets to the Finals.
The upcoming series between India and England that scheduled to start from February 5 will play a major role in deciding the opponent of New Zealand in the finals. Also, Australia could get the benefit of the series if things work in their favor.
Talking about the points table of the Test championship, India is still at the top with total points earned is 430. New Zealand who got the ticket of the finals in all the cases stands at the second number with total points of 420. The India-England series will decide the finalist in between three nominees: India, Australia, and England.
