Lanka Premier League (LPL) is all set to start from November 26. Sony Sports have got broadcast rights in India. Independent Television Network (ITN) which is free to Air channel in Sri-Lanka. It will broadcast matches in the host country and will help in reaching every part of the country. Sky Sports have managed to get signed as a broadcaster for the United Kingdom (UK).In Pakistan Geo TV and PTV will broadcast live matches.
There will be involvement of adorned players like Chris Gayle, Lasith Malinga, Irfan Pathan and many other Sri-Lankans. This could play a vital- role in getting good viewership across nations. Galle Gladiators, owned by Pakistan based franchise, will create an enormous reach in Pakistan.
Sky Sports director Bryan Henderson hopes that LPL will bring out positive results for the growth of the Lankan cricket. While expressing his thoughts on LPL he said: “ Sri Lankans have always played an exciting brand of limited-overs cricket and we look forward to seeing more talent emerge from this tournament as well as following many other stars from around the world.”
