Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) has awarded a significant contract worth Rs 175.36 crore to M/s Braithwaite & Co Ltd. The contract involves the manufacture and supply of nine BLSS (Spine Car) rakes on a turnkey basis, with the supplies expected to be completed by 28 February 2027, at a minimum rate of two rakes per month.
The contract has been awarded to a domestic entity, and there is no involvement of the promoter, promoter group, or group companies in this transaction. Additionally, the contract does not fall under related party transactions, and it is confirmed that it is conducted at arm’s length.
The order is part of CONCOR’s ongoing efforts to enhance its logistics capabilities, leveraging its status as a Navratna CPSE under the Government of India. The contract with Braithwaite & Co Ltd, a recognised entity in the manufacturing sector, is expected to bolster CONCOR’s operational capacity and efficiency.
